Cwmni Egino was set up by Welsh Government in 2021 to develop socio-economic growth opportunities from new nuclear development in North Wales. This includes exploring potential development options to build on the nuclear legacy at Trawsfynydd, as well as a broader focus on promoting opportunities for nuclear in Wales, and for Wales in the nuclear sector.
We are committed to showcasing the potential for new nuclear to deliver tangible benefits for Welsh communities. Our approach provides a solid foundation for nuclear investment in the region by facilitating cross-sector collaboration, engagement and a place-based social value framework.
Cwmni Egino stands ready to be a key player in bringing forward new nuclear in Wales, working with Government and other stakeholders to ensure maximum positive impact for our region.

A Welsh word meaning ‘to germinate’. This represents Cwmni Egino’s role in growing the opportunities from new nuclear and preparing the foundation for successful delivery. A lot of work has to be done before any visible development can happen and before benefits can be fully realised; just as a seed planted in the ground needs to be nurtured and the right conditions created before green shoots appear.
