This week Cwmni Egino team traded desks for hiking boots in a truly memorable way—by joining the ‘Caru Eryri / Care for Snowdonia’ initiative for a team day like no other. Caru Eryri is a volunteer initiative in collaboration with the Cymdeithas Eryri, the Outdoor Partnership, and the National Trust. Their goal is to mitigate the growing impact of visitors on the National Park. Together with our local guide from Eryri National Park, we set off up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) with a shared mission: to help preserve the beauty of Wales’s highest peak.
Equipped with litter-picking gear and plenty of enthusiasm, the team spent the day collecting rubbish along the trails, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and community. The activity not only helped reduce the impact of growing visitor numbers on this iconic landscape, but also brought our team closer together.
“Spending the day in such a stunning environment, doing something meaningful as a team, was both uplifting and inspiring,” said one Cwmni Egino team member. “It reminded us of the value of stewardship and the power of collaboration.”
Cwmni Egino are proud to support the project and encourage others to get involved. Whether you’re part of a business, community group, or just a passionate individual, contributing to the care of Snowdonia is a deeply rewarding experience—and a brilliant way to nurture team spirit while making a tangible difference.
The Cwmni Egino team collected 4.1kg of litter and another 0.7kg of recyclable litter on Wyddfa’s Llanberis path.
A heartfelt thank you to the organisers who made the day such a success. Here’s to more mountains climbed—together.
